The Art of Marvel SNAP Delayed
February 17th 2025
Not long before release, the upcoming artbook for the popular online card game, Marvel SNAP, has been delayed two weeks by publisher Dark Horse.
No official update on the delay of The Art of Marvel SNAP has been posted, as is often the case, so it's not clear exactly when this happened, but it was recent and spotted when visiting the book page. The new date can be found through online retailers and on the Dark Horse website. It was last due on the 4th of March 2025 and is now expected on the 18th of March.

The book will come with a hardcover, which is to be expected from Dark Horse, as they are very consistent with their book formats, as well as having 224 pages. It will have the same dimensions as the vast majority of their video game artbooks too, coming in at 9" x 12" (23.52 x 31.29 cm).
It will feature over 100 characters and locations, with the art showcased across 300 different cards. These will also come with insights from the team at Second Dinner Studios, the developer of the game.
The free-to-play game itself was released in October of 2022 and remains very popular. It had over 30 million installs in the first 3 months, with thousands still playing. It launched on Windows, iOS and Android, with Nuverse acting as the publisher.
Marvel SNAP was recently in the news after being temporarily banned in the US. This happened on January 19th when the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act came into effect. Nuverse is owned by Chinese company ByteDance Ltd, which is why the game was affected. The restrictions were lifted soon after and Second Dinner Studios are now working with Skystone Games to bring publishing in-house, with the goal being to prevent possible issues in the future.
Previews and a review of the book will be featured on the site when it arrives in the coming weeks.
