The art behind the Halo games has always been incredible, from the weapons and armour of the humans and The Convenant, to the stunning environment concepts. This book delivers all of those with a collection of art that covers the Bungie era of Halo.
Inside is a look at the art that started it all with Halo: Combat Evolved, perfect for players of the original looking to get more from the game. It then packs in more with artwork for Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Wars, Halo 3: ODST, Halo Legends and finally Halo: Reach.
The game development has now moved to Halo Studios, formerly known as 343 Industries, who have released their own artbooks for Halo 4, 5 and Infinite. The Bungie team moved on to the Destiny games and have recently released another artbook, The Art of Destiny: Volume 3. Those of you that enjoy Bungie's work can pick up the three volumes of art for Destiny and maybe some in the future for their upcoming extraction shooter, Marathon.
With rumours constantly swirling of Halo coming to PlayStation and possibly Nintendo Switch 2, there could possibly be a whole new audience interested in the series and its art. If the speculation that Halo: The Master Chief Collection is coming to these consoles turns out to be true, this would be the perfect book for people playing it for the first time. That collection includes Halo: Combat Evolved to Halo: Reach, making this book the perfect companion. Halo 4 is also in that collection too and those that have played it, or potentially will, can find art for that game in Awakening: The Art of Halo 4, also from Titan Books.
Regardless of whether Halo makes it to other consoles or not, there is potentially a large audience that can find value in Halo: The Great Journey: The Art of Building Worlds. It's been out since 2011, so it's far from a recent release, but with copies will available, there is still time to get this added to your shelf!
